جب تو ایک تھی

تو لاکھوں میں ایک تھی

مگر اب چاہے ہزار ہوں

تجھ ایک کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتیں

آرزو ندیہ میں بہ گئی

جب اس کی اداسی دکھی

تو نظر وہیں ٹھہر گئی

نظر سے نظر کیا ملی

عقل وہیں بہک گئی

بات سے بات چلی تو
شام وہیں مہک گئی

گھڑی دو گھڑی شام ڈھلی تو
جان وہیں بہل گئی

پھر ملاقات سے ملاقات کیا بڑھی تو
جوانی وہیں سہل گئی

ساںس سے ساںس کیا ملی
دیوانگی وہیں سحر گئی

جب تلک آنکھ کھلی تو
آبرو وہیں دھک گئی

پس نظریں چرا کر
ادھر ادھر بھٹکنے لگا

فقط خود ہی خود کو
خودی میں مگن رکھنے لگا

اور وہ بیچاری جانی انجانی
کبھی کچھ سمجھ نہ سکی

آخر کیا غلطی کی
جو ملامت بھی نہ کر سکی

سوچتی سوچتی
ذرا بھی تسلی نہ کر سکی

فقط قلم اٹھاتے ہی
حال دل بیاں نہ کرسکی

لاکھ تدبیریں کیں مگر
چٹھی رقیب تک پہنچ نہ سکی

شاید اسی لئے زندگی کی گاڑی
کبھی آگے بڑھ ہی نہ سکی

محبت جو کبھی پنپنی تھی
سرے سے پنپ ہی نہ سکی

Looks distractive

Is she effective?

Probably like a detective

Just a little directive

Never seems to be deceptive

Her routine might be defective

But she’s not captive

Nonetheless a complete festive

Difficult to comprehend but digestive

May be sometimes artificially too ejective

With fair trail too much receptive

And don’t believe her, she’s not subjective

To be precise innovative, and objective

Loving, caring, and respective

Considers everyone’s perspective

Oh SAd! You really were a close prospective

And she was! She was curiously perceptive

As lively as an adjective

But how can she be so retentive

May be you weren’t that reflective

Strangely far too protective

And the defeat!!!

It was never meant to be preventive

Now!!! Whether the itching still active or inactive

The retrieval looks rather proactive
