Revival Of International Cricket In Pakistan

Revival Of International Cricket In Pakistan

Its going to be a shock to hear from me at this time of the year. Some of you might say !!! you said that you are going offline (because of your papers) but you are still online. But let me tell you something, How could I miss this moment? How could I be not part of this huge moment?? How could I let it go and not be a part of it???

Finally,  is back in Pakistan after six years. Zimbabwe's Cricket team is visiting #Pakistan and announcing to the whole world that Pakistan is a safe and secure country to play cricket unlike the media perception. Pak vs Zim's first T20 match was, in fact, the first cricket match i.e played in Pakistan after 6 years. Its kind of like Eid for  and a Grand festival for the whole Pakistani nation. Finally, the cricket is back in Pakistan, finally we got a chance to see international cricketers playing, we can take their autographs and have some friendly chat with them. Some of them are going to be our role models. Pakistan'a cricket team is playing in home conditions after a really long time and I could fairly say that finally, players like  , #Ahmed_Shehzad ,  and  got a chance to perform in front of their own crowd, first time in their lives. Its more like a dream come true. Finally, we got a chance to show the world that we are not so called terrorist but peace loving people

The first T20 match was scheduled to begin at 7pm local time. Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first. Anwar ali had the ball in his hand and Masakadza was ready to face the first ball of the match. The Jam Packed #Gaddafi_Stadium Lahore (which was hosting its first ever T20 match) was really on fire. People in the stadium were going crazy, jumping and hoofing up and down, cheering every run, singing, dancing, shouting, chanting and alarming to the whole world that no matter what happens, we will come to watch cricket, we will come in large number to support the cricket and the Pakistani team. Probably that was the reason why that the whole stadium was filled with colors of life. Anawar Ali marked his run up and ran in to bowl with full force and and set tone for the revival of International cricket in Pakistan. Zimbabwe opener provided a good start to the innings and crossed the 50 runs mark in just 6 overs .Muhammad Sami took 2 wickets in 2 balls to restrict Zim to 58 for 2 after the end of the 7th over. After that the Zimbabwe kept losing wickets in the pursuit of quick runs and in the end they ended up with the score of 172 in 20 overs with 6 wickets down. Zimbabwean Captain top scored with 54 off just 35 balls. In the break some big names of the Pakistan music industry performed on the stage to keep the crowd on their toes. Pakistani openers started their inning extravagantly. Mukhtar Ali who was playing just his second game tore zim bowlers apart and he was well supported by the his partner Ahmed Shehzad and they both took the score to 142 until Ahmed shehzad lost his cool and thrown his wicket away to Sean Williams. He scored 55 off 39 balls and Mukhtar scored 83 off 45 balls. After them classic Pakistan collapsed start until Shahid Khan Afridi came on to the crease with just 4 needed of 4 balls. He hit the first ball he faced right above the bowlers head to the boundary and won the game for Pakistan.

Well! it was not just a game for Pakistan. It was a matter of life or dead for us. In fact, the game gave a strong message to whole cricketing world that Pakistan, as a nation, is not dead yet. We the, Pakistani's, were sidelined, were called Gamblers, Wagers, Fixers, Hypocrites and Terrorists. We were victimized and differentiated. No one was ready to come to Pakistan and the international media was playing a key role in destroying the image of our homeland. Whenever I used to chat with new people on the internet, I was treated like a terrorist or a psychic. In fact, this game was a big statement to all those false perceptions. Pakistan is not a terrorist state but a peace loving country who has its own boundaries and one of the most lethal armies in the world. We have our own culture, our own traditions, our own believes and most important of all, we value them. We respect our elders and treat our children with love and care. We were not terrorist at all but Terrorism was imposed on us by invaders. But now we have come a long away from that, its the time to move one and make a strong comeback. Its no use to cry over split milk, so we have to keep moving forward and focus on our goals. We have to make sure that we are no more treated like we've been in the past. We have to let our enemies know that whatever you'll throw at us will be worthless we are going to have an answer for every move you would make because we are a strong nation and no matter how much the time it will take, in the end, we are going to stand tall. We have to identify and eradicate corrupt and ill-hearted people from our ranks and then never look back.

I wanted to say alot of more things, I wanted to express my feelings but its not the right time. Its the time for the celebration, So lets celebrate it.

I want to thank from the bottom of my heart and from all Pakistani nation to Zimbabwe cricket team and Zimbabwe cricket association for taking a stand against their board and help the PCB to revive cricket in Pakistan.

And in the end I want to say thanks to you guys for reading this artice. If you find Any mistakes please do let me know.
